WA's Pawsey Supercomputing Centre is calling for researchers nationwide conducting energy and resources-focused projects to apply for access to its high performance computer Magnus.
The Energy and Resources Merit Allocation Scheme supports research projects in those fields from across Australia. Energy examples include generation, storage and distribution. Resources examples include exploration, minerals extraction and processing, groundwater, and waste management.
There are 55.5 million core hours available on Magnus via this scheme. Information and application forms are available online. Applications close at 8pm AEDT, Friday, 20 October 2017.
Access to Magnus is also available to researchers in all science disciplines across Australia via the National Computational Merit Allocation Scheme. There are 100 million core hours available on Magnus via NCMAS 2018.
