As a QCIF partner, RCC is the conduit through which UQ researchers can access QCIF’s data science and bioinformatics services.

QCIF Data Science (formerly QFAB) is a QCIF unit providing access to specialised skills in data science, bioinformatics, biostatistics, biodata, sensitive data and grant support to help life sciences and health researchers get the most out of their research data.

QCIF Data Science support covers the whole data life cycle, from experimental design to data capture, analysis and visualisation, applied to ‘omics analyses. In particular, QCIFData Science has expertise in multi-omics integration, including linkage to clinical data.

As UQ is a full QCIF Member, UQ researchers and HDR students can access the QCIF Data Science team’s skills through free clinics for advice, on-demand support for research projects or embedded bioinformaticians within their research teams. Researchers receive the collective experience of the QCIF team in complementary domains and at different levels of seniority.
