Nicky Trousdale has replaced Fran Moore as RCC’s Administration Officer.

Nicky will provide day-to-day operations support to RCC Director Professor David Abramson and the Centre’s staff.

“We are delighted to welcome Nicky to the RCC team,” said David. “She has extensive experience within the tertiary sector and has a good grasp of the types of systems we employ at UQ.

“Further, as a trained accountant she will help us liaise with UQ's Finance and Business Services Division and will assist with procurement activities.”

Nicky joins UQ from CQUniversity where she has worked for the past six years as a Research Administration Officer.

“I joined RCC as I was looking for an exciting new challenge with a university which has a great reputation,” Nicky said.

“I'm looking forward to learning all the different aspects of my new role and being able to add value to RCC.”

Nicky has a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in accounting, from Griffith University, and is CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualified.

Originally from the sunshine state, she has worked in Queensland, Sydney, London and New Zealand in various accounting roles. She returned to Australia in 2014 to live.

Meanwhile, RCC’s previous Administration Officer of nine years, Fran Moore, who retired in July, is looking forward to leaving these shores to catch up with family and friends, including in Canada where she worked for 13 years at the University of Alberta before joining UQ.

“We are very sad to be losing Fran but wish her all the best for her retirement,” David said.

“Fran was always eager to help regardless of the task and her smiling face will be missed in RCC.”
