Audience votes are in and the F1000 Speaker Prize winners for this year's Winter School in Mathematical and Computational Biology are Prof. John Quackenbush (senior career), Dr Chris Brown (mid-career), and Kate Wathen-Dunn (early-career).
This is the third Winter School win for Prof. Quackenbush, the second for Dr Brown and first for Ms Wathen-Dunn.
“Winter School attendees are invited to vote for the talk they considered best as judged by the degree to which the presentation was highly engaging, of scientific merit, exceptionally well delivered and of wide interest to the Winter School audience,” said lead Winter School organiser Dr Nick Hamilton of RCC, QCIF and IMB.
The Winter School was held early last month at UQ St Lucia. RCC was a proud co-sponsor.
