DDN's Customer Advocacy Program Manager Stephanie Brewer has blogged about the merit certificate RCC received at the Queensland iAwards last month.
UQ and RCC received the award, in the category ‘Infrastructure & Platforms Innovation of the Year’, for significant innovations around data-intensive infrastructure, in particular the FlashLite high performance computer and the Metropolitan Data Caching Infrastructure (MeDiCI), a high performance storage fabric.
Ms Brewer wrote: "I am especially pleased because this award is recognition that the system designed by University of Queensland and DDN is breaking new ground and has interest from the IT community beyond the Science and Research industry. (The iAwards are judged by IT specialists outside the Science and Research sector.)"
