RCC Director Prof. David Abramson has announced he will have chairing duties at both next year’s IEEE eScience conference and 2018’s Australasian Computer Science Week.
This comes on top of the news announced in October that David will chair next year’s eResearch Australasia conference, being held 16–20 October in Brisbane.
David will serve as the Program Committee Chair of the 2017 IEEE International Conference on eScience, being held in Auckland, New Zealand, 24–27 October. David also sits on the conference’s international steering committee.
eScience 2017 brings together leading international and interdisciplinary research communities, developers, and users of eScience applications and enabling IT technologies. The conference serves as the premier forum to present the results of the latest research and product/tool developments and to highlight related activities from around the world.
David will serve as the General Chair of Australasian Computer Science Week 2018, which will be held in Brisbane in January. The dates are yet to be fixed and the website yet to be launched. The event for computer science researchers consists of several conferences covering a wide range of computer science topics. It is organised under the governing auspices of the Computing Research and Education (CORE) Association of Australasia.
Australasian Computer Science Week 2017 is being held 31 January to 3 February at Deakin University’s campus in Geelong, Victoria.
