About QRIScloud

QRIScloud is the operating name for the Queensland node of the National Research Cloud. Please visit the QRIScloud website for further details, including how to apply for allocations.

How to get a QRIScloud account

A user obtains a QRIScloud Account by going to the “Accounts” section of the QRIScloud website and registering for one.

QRIScloud requires users to have an institutional account recognised by the Australian Access Federation (AAF). Users at Australian universities and other Australian research institutions will already have an AAF-recognised institutional account. These users will be able to use their institutional login and password as their AAF credential without any further process.

Other users
Users who do not have an AAF-recognised institutional account can apply for a credential from QCIF via the Request an institutional account link. Examples of such situations are accounts provided to QCIF’s government and industry clients and to international collaborators with a legitimate reason for accessing QRIScloud.

Irrespective of which authentication method is used or which credentials are required, once authenticated, the user will be able to access the QRIScloud services granted to them.

Getting support

For support requests relating to the services (e.g. portal, virtual machines, storage shares) deployed on QRIScloud, please contact the service owner or your local IT support.

For support requests relating to the availability of the QRIScloud infrastructure, please email: support@qriscloud.org.au.

An acknowledgement email will be sent, but not immediately as QRIScloud reviews and processes support requests manually before accepting them into the issue tracker.
