eResearch Australasia 2022
The eResearch Australasia Conference provides an opportunity for delegates to engage, connect and share their ideas and exemplars concerning new information-centric research capabilities, and how ICT technologies can help researchers to collaborate, collect, manage, share, process, analyse, find, understand and reuse information.
The 2022 conference will be held in a hybrid format, with the in-person component of the event to be held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The Brisbane conference will be the first opportunity for Australia's eResearch community to come together in the one physical location since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Two keynote speakers have been announced, with more to come. The two keynotes include:
- Dr İlkay Altıntaş, a Research Scientist at the University of California San Diego, and Chief Data Science Officer at the San Diego Supercomputer Center
- Dr Ian Foster, Senior Scientist, Distinguished Fellow, and Director of the Data Science and Learning Division, Argonne National Laboratory. He is also the Arthur Holly Compton Distinguished Service Professor of Computer Science at the University of Chicago.
The topic of their keynote speeches has yet to be announced.
RCC Director Professor David Abramson is the Chair of AeRO (Australasian eResearch Organisations), the conference host.
